Registration & Tuition

The following is required for enrollment at Immanuel Preschool:

- Registration form completed and non-refundable registration fee paid in full.
- Immunization form completed, signed and on file.
- All children MUST be toilet trained.
- All children meet State of Oregon age requirements.
State of Oregon Laws
The age requirement for entering public school Kindergarten is 5 years of age before September 1. Therefore, we at Immanuel Preschool would like to stay as close to this date as possible with children turning 3 or 4 before September 1 of the current school year.
The law states clearly that any suspected case of child abuse MUST be reported to the authorities and/or the police before and without consulting the parents of the child.
Car seat/Booster seat Law – Oregon State Law states that all children under 8 years of age or less than 4′ 8″ tall MUST be in a booster or car seat. This will be the responsibility of parents to make sure that such a car seat is available for their child on the day of a field trip. If a child arrives on a field trip day without a car seat, the child will not be permitted to go on the field trip with the class and the parent will be called to pick up the child from the office.
Immunization records MUST be completed and signed by parents within 30 days after the first day of Preschool. Information must include specific dates of immunizations. Oregon State Law requires full immunization of all students enrolled in school through age 18. Immunization must be completed before the first day of school.
Registration Fee
There is a $60.00 non-refundable Preschool registration fee and an additional $50.00 non-refundable Friday Bunch registration fee required to enroll your child each year. This fee ensures a place for your child and is used for administration costs and classroom materials.
Tuition
- Tuition for Preschool students is $170.00 per month.
- Tuition for Friday Bunch is an additional $90.00 per month.
- Tuition is due on the first school day of each month. This is a monthly rate and is therefore not affected by the number of school days within the month.
- There will be no tuition reduction for illness or vacation. If your child is sick, payments should still be made on time.
- The first payment is due by the first school week in September.
- If a family has more than one child enrolled in the Preschool, there is a discount on each child’s tuition. Please contact the Director for this information.
- Make checks payable to Immanuel Preschool. Use checks or money orders only, NO CASH PLEASE!
Tuition payments may be mailed to Immanuel Preschool, 7810 SE 15th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97202 or HAND DELIVERED by an adult.
Please put payments in the box with the cross on the front – located inside the preschool double doors at the top of the stairs.
Do not hand payments to the teachers or the church secretaries. If you need a receipt, please indicate so on your payment and the Director will make sure you receive it. - A late fee of $15.00 will be added to your account for any payment received after the 15th of the month. If monthly tuition and late fee are not paid by the last school day of the month, it will constitute grounds for the expulsion of the child. If your child is attending both the regular Preschool and Friday Bunch, and tuition is not being paid on time, you will be asked by the Director to drop the Friday Bunch class.
- If for some reason you need to withdraw your child from the school program, you will be required to pay the full month’s tuition if the child attended any part of that month, even if only one day.
