Assistant Teacher

I am thrilled to be working at Immanuel Preschool!

A little about myself. I was born and raised in Taiwan. I came to the US to study in 2000 and it was during my first year here that I found my passion for teaching young children. I went on to earn a master’s degree in Education from George Fox University. After graduation from George Fox in 2003, I spent 12 yrs working at a private Christian school in Portland. My roles included being a teacher’s assistant, teaching computer, teach Mandarin Chinese and directing an After School Care program. In 2015 I decided to be a full-time mom to my so Daniel, who now is 6, and my daughter Kathryn, age 4.

Outside of school I enjoy reading, watching movies, creating photo books and travel. Family is very important to me, so my travels often take me back to Taiwan.

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you “ declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. It helps me to believe that the very best for myself and the little ones I teach.
